The Rogozna Gold and Base Metals Project, located in the Raška District of southern Serbia, is an exciting new acquisition for Strickland Metals Limited.

Situated within the globally significant Tethyan Metallogenic Belt, this project has the potential to become one of the largest undeveloped gold deposits in the world.

Covering approximately 184 km², Rogozna comprises four exploration licences and boasts a JORC compliant Inferred Mineral Resource of 5.44Moz Au Eq.

Location

Tethyan Metallogenic Belt, Serbia

Minerals

  • Gold
  • Base Metals

Project Highlights

  • Large-scale Resource: The Rogozna Project contains a JORC compliant Inferred Mineral Resource of 5.44Moz Au Eq, including 2.96Moz Au, 214kt Cu, and 364kt Zn.
  • Exploration Potential: Advanced exploration targets and significant intercepts outside current resources offer substantial growth potential.
  • Strategic Acquisition: The project complements Strickland’s existing assets, with a total acquisition cost of approximately $37 million.
  • Experienced Team: The project benefits from the involvement of industry experts, including Paul L’Herpiniere as Managing Director and Dr Jon Hronsky as Non-Executive Director.

Location and Access

The Rogozna Project is located near Novi Pazar in southern Serbia, approximately 400 kilometres south of Belgrade. Access to the project area is facilitated by regional highways and well-maintained roads and tracks within the project area.

Geology and Mineralisation

Rogozna hosts a large-scale magmatic hydrothermal system, featuring skarn-based Au-Cu (+/- Zn, Ag, and Pb) mineralisation. The key prospects within the project are Shanac, Copper Canyon, Medenovac and Gradina. The geological framework supports various styles of mineralisation, including epithermal and porphyry-hosted copper-gold deposits.

Key Prospects

Shanac

  • Drilling Highlights: 409m @ 1.4g/t Au Eq from 193m, including 37m @ 3.7g/t AU Eq from 449m and 22m @ 6g/t Au Eq from 581m (ZRSD20120)
  • Prospect Strengths: Excellent geometry with significant vertical extent of mineralisation starting at 80m below surface, open along strike and at depth.

Copper Canyon

  • Drilling Highlights: 165.8m @ 1.7g/t Au Eq from 18m, including 28m @ 4.25g/t Au Eq from 110m (PDMC0611)
  • Prospect Strengths: Outcropping Copper-Gold mineralisation with high-grade distal gold-only mineralisation at depth, mineralisation open along strike and at depth.

Medenovac

  • Drilling Highlights: 352m @ 2.1g/t Au Eq from 240m, including 97.7m @ 5.1g/t Au Eq from 321m (ZRSD21136)
  • Prospect Strengths: 600m of drill-defined Zn-Cu-Au mineralisation, open along strike and at depth.

Gradina

  • Drilling Highlights: 228m @ 1.4g/t Au Eq from 488m, including 15m @ 3.9g/t Au Eq from 632m and 22m @ 4.1g/t Au Eq from 691m (ZRSD21143)
  • Prospect Strengths: High-grade skarn hosted mineralisation defined along 1km of strike, open along strike, up-dip towards surface and at depth.

Exploration History and Strategy

Historical exploration at Rogozna spans from the Roman era to recent drilling campaigns. Significant drilling activities were conducted between 1957 and 2022, totalling over 100,000 meters. Strickland’s exploration strategy includes comprehensive drilling programs aimed at expanding and confirming high-grade mineralisation zones across the Shanac, Copper Canyon, Medenovac, and Gradina prospects, in addition to testing multiple compelling exploration targets
